Diego Rojas is a consultant for the Macroeconomics, Trade and Investment Unit for Latin America and the Caribbean of the World Bank. He has also served as a consultant for other World Bank units such as the Office of the Chief Economist for Latin America and the Caribbean, The Jobs Group, the International Trade Department, and the Development Research Group. Before joining the World Bank, he worked as a lecturer and researcher at the University of Costa Rica.
His research focuses on macroeconomic policy, labor markets, and international trade, and the application of statistical and mathematical tools to optimize policy interventions in these economic areas.
Diego holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy with a specialization in Economics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He received an M.A. in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park, and an M.Sc. and a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Costa Rica.
